Two construction workers died after falling into a septic tank in Kushtia

Two masons Hannan (30) and Shakil (20) died in a safety tank at Harinarayanpur of Kushtia Sadar EB Police Station (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raziun) Happens.

The deceased was identified as Shakil Ali, son of Pawan Ali of East Abdalpur village under Harinarayanpur union. He worked as a helper. The deceased was identified as Abdul Hannan, son of Amir Mandal of the same area. He worked as a mason. Hannan and Shakil are neighbors. The accident has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.

It is known that on Thursday morning next to the Harinarayanpur market. The mason Hannan went to work on the new septic tank at Bakkar’s house. After a while, helper Shakil also got into the tank without getting his response.

At this time, two people fell unconscious inside the tank. The locals rescued them and took them to the service clinic in Hallmore area where the doctor declared them dead. From there the relatives took the body to their respective homes.

EB Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman Ratan said Hannan and Shakil Bakkar died while working in a septic tank at the butcher’s house. No complaints received yet.
Three riders were killed in a road accident in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna while riding a motorcycle. The accident took place in front of Joynagar Shimultala Khairul Filling Station on Ishwardi-Pakshi Highway around 9pm on Wednesday (September 1).

Rooppur was among the dead. Lalon’s son Ibrahim (25) and Zahurul Islam’s son Joy (26) have been identified but the identity of the other is yet to be ascertained.

Witnesses said two motorcycles were speeding from Ishwardi. While crossing Shimultala area, it collided with a microbus coming from the opposite direction. Three riders of the motorcycle were seriously injured. When the locals rescued them and took them to Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex, the doctor on duty declared them dead.
